Hi, I have about 15 sessions on my Fuse 10m and another 15 on the Fuse 9m.
First bought the 10m to replace my previous 12m from another brand. The 10m is now my biggest kite (@173#). It is very powerful for a 10. The 9m feels quite a bit smaller and faster even though it is only 1m less. Most of my kiting is in the 13 to 25 range. Could use the 7m at 20 but will leave that one for later.
Don’t do unhooked mostly old school jumps and spins.
Both kites are great jumpers and the bar pressure is just right to let me know where the kite is at all times.
Tried the release on the water twice just to see and the mini 5th worked great. I simply pulled myself back to the bar, reconnected the safety and relaunched.
Like the bar a lot, clean, simple and works!
Amazed that there isn’t more of a “buzz” about the Fuse.
Friends think I am nuts to have two kites so close in size but it works well for me.
If North made an 8m I would have gone that route but for now no 8m Fuse.

I’m a 155lbs rider and have been riding a 10m Fuse most of the year so far. This kite’s best attributes, in my mind, are it’s range and it’s jumping and hang time. For me, I don’t have to start thinking about a smaller kite until the wind is averaging over 25 mph. I think I could ride it in more wind but it would cease to be as much fun, me being a light weight, but at 25 mph you’ll get ” new look jumps ” with the longest and floatist landing you could hope for. For bottom end you’ll be the last one on the water………For wave riding and looping tricks I still prefer the Evo as it’s as good a wave kite as you could ask for and it turns a smaller circle than the Fuse when looping, however I’ve never ridden a smaller Fuse than a 10m so maybe the 9m or if they made a 8m might be a comparable faster turning and tighter looping kite like the Evo, but for all around kiteing the Fuse is hard to beat……….
