Costa Rica is a beautiful country and it’s perfect for enjoying water sports: it has 2 fantastic Kitesurfing spots (playa Copal and Playa Papaturro) located in the bay called Bahia Salinas, on the north pacific coast in the Guanacaste province, the sunniest and driest side of Costa Rica. Around this bay there are very beautiful and little-unknown beaches perfect for snorkeling after an epic kite session. The bay is also home to an island (Isla Bolaños) with a white beach and turquoise water, famous because it is an important nesting spot for birds. You can also enjoy half mile of reef with complete flat water. Here it’s common to kitesurf among giant turtles and pelicans. You have plenty of space around you to kitesurf surrounded by untouched nature

  • 2 feet choppy in front of the kite beach with more then 20kn
  • 600 feet long flat water at the reef for wake style and old style huge jumps.
  • Turquoise flat water at the island, 1 mile away from the kite beach, for amazing shots to take home

4/5 feet wind waves downwind the kite beach with more then 25 kn. For wave ridingwe are located every day in the best spot of Playa Copal : This is the more upwind location, at the really end of the beachl, that means: side shore wind, more flat water, the closer to the reef you can get and a lot of space for launching and landing the kites even with high tide; the rest of Copal beach have almost no space and unfortunately can´t offer that. Blue Dream shuttle pick up will drive right there, exactly where you launch the kite, so this is the only way that exist where you don´t need to walk with your gear at all!
